Please do not attach compressed build logs. When you build again, does it fail in exactly the same line?

I am sorry to say it is probably hardware instability causing your problems. That is almost always the cause when builds fail at different places without changing the source code or installing different build tools. This package in particular is one that I have installed using same gcc version on my own amd64 system without problems, so I really don't think the source code is at fault. In my own experience it has usually been marginal memory that is ok for light loads but starts glitching under heavy compiling. So, first I would try running memtest for several hours. Other people have come to my LUG with motherboard issues, even if the system is not overclocked.
I think that running memtest for several hours is usually a waste of time. If overheating turns out to be cause of the segfaults, then examining and replacing RAM modules is pointless. Make sure the system doesn't overheat, isn't overclocked (even slightly), that voltage levels are good, and so on.

Had the exact same problem. I disabled DISTCC by commenting out the FEATURES line in make.conf and it compiled successfully. After compile, reenabled DISTCC and all is well.
