Description Stuart Maier 2008-08-29 02:03:28 UTC
Whenever NetworkManager connects to a regular uncrypted network, it works completely fine. However, whenever I try to connect to a WPA network, it completely fails.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Run NetworkManager on a WPA network.
2.
3.

Actual Results:
NetworkManager fails to connect.

Expected Results:
NetworkManager should connect.

NetworkManager is not part of the Gnome Herd. Please use the "Ebuilds" component unless you are sure of the assignment.

Thanks

Going to need more info than that - what kernel, what drivers, what versions of the drivers, has it worked previously...

I am using linux 2.6.26-tuxonice with the ipw2200 driver set up as per http://gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_ipw2200 and am using NetworkManager 0.6.6. Everything worked before I rebuilt the system after my hard disk died and simultaneously added the ~x86 keyword. Additionally, downgrading to NetworkManager 0.6.5 doesn't work because libnl-1.0 fails to build:

../include/netlink-local.h:159: error: for each function it appears in.)

And does it work without using NetworkManager?
Comment 7 Stuart Maier 2008-09-01 02:53:03 UTC
Baselayout with wpa_supplicant does not work. Refiling for wpa_supplicant.
