pygtk-2.12.1 does NOT compile with gcc 4.3.1
pygtk-2.12.1 DOES compile with gcc 4.1.2


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
gcc-config -l
 [1] i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.1.2
 [2] i686-pc-linux-gnu-4.3.1 *

emerge pygtk

Actual Results:  
[build output ommitted, see attachment]
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc: Internal error: Killed (program cc1)

Please post your emerge --info.

Also, try turning off -pipe from your CFLAGS and run the build again; then there should be a temp file with preproccessed source that you could attach as well.

You have a problem with your compiler, not with the package itself, plus I hope you are talking about 2.12.1-r2 or I'll ask you to try that first.

2.12.1-r2 DOES indeed build with gcc 4.3.1

sorry, I should have mentioned it is pygtk 2.13.0 that does not build with gcc 4.3.1-r1

But this is an incremental update of the same module giving the same compilation error with an incremental update of the same compiler from last time, if that isn't a proper use of re-open, then what is?
