Description Michele Consolo 2003-06-27 07:24:34 UTC
I found the site of a guy that created some nice patch for WindowMaker.
I succesfully emerged the nicer one that allows to have transparent menus
(that's a MUST :)).
There are also other patches, a nice one is to add a tab in WPref.app in order
to setup fonts.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to http://vlaadworld.net and download the patch
2. apply the patch
3. build WindowMaker
4. run WPref
5. go in "display settings" tab
6. enable "menu

Actual Results:
You get menù transparency, very cool !

Expected Results:
It shoudl have solid color's menu, very common and sad :)

I sent an email to the last manager of windowmaker package and he told me to
report this patch in such a way.

I did some hacky and unsupported cvs snapshot based ebuild for windowmaker
It contains lots of patches. Use it at your own risk, theres absolutly no
support for it. You can put it into your portage overlay directory.
put the distfile content into your own distfiles dir (/usr/portage/distfiles)

windowmaker-0.80.2-r3 has been added to portage with the transparency patch and the wlist patch
Comment 4 Nick Hadaway 2003-10-17 23:21:01 UTC
As the latest windowmaker contains the only patches that cleanly apply, I
am closing this bug. If there are any other feature patches that are requested,
please open up a new bug and make sure that things work properly with the
latest ebuild. :)
