This seems invalid. It looks like a self-inflicted bug. Reporter is on x86, but (unless my portage tree is not up-to-date enough - it's from Sat, 23 Aug 2008 14:45:01 +0000) kino 1.3.1 is ~x86 and is using ffmpeg with new header layout.
Someone missed to adjust the ffmpeg dependency in the ebuild, I guess.
My apologies. Yes, I had unmasked kino, and have ffmpeg stable. I'll close this. Sorry for the noise.
