Description Albert Zeyer 2008-08-25 14:19:13 UTC
In pulseaudio-0.9.{8,9}, module-tunnel (to connect to other pulseaudio servers) is broken.

Details:
https://tango.0pointer.de/pipermail/pulseaudio-discuss/2007-November/000974.html

In pulseaudio-0.9.10, this is fixed.

Colin Guthrie is a contributor of pulseaudio and maintainer of it in mandriva, he suggests that pulseaudio-0.9.10 would be safer than 0.9.11 and 0.9.12 in:
http://colin.guthr.ie/development/sound-in-mandriva-20090.html

I haven't tried yet pulseaudio under gentoo, but, at least in mandriva (it's src.rpm is easily accesible from mirrors like ftp://ftp.free.fr/pub/Distributions_Linux/MandrivaLinux/devel/cooker/SRPMS/main/release/pulseaudio-0.9.10-11mdv2009.0.src.rpm for checking its patches if needed) it works really well

Should get something more new in stable..
