I'm also in contact with upstream and I'm trying to enhance func to let it be more useful on gentoo systems.

I hope I haven't wrote anything too stupid, but there is certainly more stuff to do before it is ready for inclusion. A look by more skilled people is really welcome. I propose category app-admin.

This is currently working correctly on my systems (see KEYWORDS).

I also sent this to upstream.
