These descriptions are not meaningful IMO. I'd like to see them have a good description. gs-sources is a great example; it details applied patches, etc. The "Gentoo Kernel" or "Gentoo gaming-optimized kernel" is very vague; it would be helpful to the end-user to decide between various kernels if they could tell the difference without wading through patches. The maintainers would be in the best position to improve these descriptions, as they're (hopefully) most knowledgeable about what's in their kernels. $ emerge -s gentoo-sources Searching... nice to hear you opinion. however, i do not see me making the description(s) much different than what you see currently.. we have documentation that is being improved here: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/gentoo-kernel.xml and there is always info in the changelog.
Shouldn't that read win4lin, not win3lin in the gs-sources description?
Just noticed this, the spacing and commas are kind of erratic in the description as well.
