Description David Sveningsson 2008-08-20 18:32:28 UTC
After upgrading to x11-misc/xscreensaver-5.06 it only runs on :0.1

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Upgrade to x11-misc/xscreensaver-5.06
2. Run xscreensaver (on either screen)
3. Run xscreensaver-demo or xscreensaver-command on :0.0
Actual Results:
It is only possible to run a screensaver or any xscreensaver command on :0.1. Fails with "xscreensaver-command: no screensaver is running on display :0.0".

Expected Results:
Working xscreensaver on both screens.

I use two separate X screens, not twinview, xinerama or similar.

Maybe I should report this upstream?

"New" ebuild

According to Jamie Zawinski this was fixed in xscreensaver-5.07 and a version bump solved the problem. The ebuild is the same with new version.

5.07 in CVS now, because it was broken on my system too.

eXt: FYI, it's called Zaphod mode ;-).
