same with 1.5.4
Also hit this bug while building subversion 1.5.4, swig 1.3.31 upgraded to 1.3.36 and still same. Seems like http://svn.haxx.se/users/archive-2004-02/1230.shtml and https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=141343 , but these are both old, can someone who understand swig read the redhat patch and verify ? Or could there be any other software which needs to be upgraded ? Created attachment 209813 [details, diff] Workaround for missing directories The attached patch for the ebuild works around the problem by creating the needed directories prior to building the SWIG Perl bindings. Most likely it's the Makefile's that need to be patched, but this at least allows Subversion to be built correctly.

Still failing in subversion 1.6.9. Do we need to open a new bug, or can someone re-open this one?
