There are are some failing sed commands earlier in the log as well. Looks like something in /usr/src/linux is bad.

Looks like > something in /usr/src/linux is bad. the other contents of /usr/src/ kernels have identical folders and files. moreover xf86-input-virtualbox-1.6.2 compiled fine with the same /usr/src/linux i looked at the crc error of the compressed file of vboxdrv in version 1.6.4 error output.
