When playing a sound (i.e. a ring bell on mozilla-thunderbird when mail comes) on my box with pulseaudio, this error message appears in my logs : pcm_hw.c SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_DRAIN failed but the sound works fine and no other sound software cause same error. My sound card is : Audio device: ATI Technologies Inc SBx00 Azalia Subsystem: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. Device 7327 Flags: bus master, slow devsel, latency 64, IRQ 16 Memory at fe8f4000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K] Capabilities: [50] Power Management version 2 Kernel driver in use: HDA Intel Reproducible: Always
