Build error: Unable to load "%s": Attribute "xmlns:doc" is invalid on <node> element in this context Google search: http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.freedesktop.hal/11809 "You need dbus-glib 0.76, which was just released." Reproducible: Always
from what you pasted it is impossible to say if it's a runtime problem or a builtime one. In my experience, gnome-session builds and runs just fine with 0.74. You link is broken, closing needinfo.
My link is *not* broken and I clearly stated it was a build error. There is nothing else I could paste about the error, it is the error that makes the make fail. Just trying to help stabilize the ebuilds.
ok now I can read it, this morning I only had a strange sentence. could you paste emerge -pv gnome-session, like I said, it compiled with 0.74-r1 for me.
I got the error, upgraded dbus-glib and could continue without a problem. Here's the info you requested: Calculating dependencies... done! [ebuild R ] gnome-base/gnome-session-2.23.6 USE="branding ipv6 -debug -policykit" 0 kB [1] Total: 1 package (1 reinstall), Size of downloads: 0 kB Portage tree and overlays: [0] /usr/portage [1] /usr/portage/local/layman/gnome
I still get a "weft didn't produce an output." from that link
Upstream has updated the dbus-glib dep to 0.76 in trunk/. I've done the same thing for the current ebuild in overlay. Thanks
