New install, based on LiveCD kde rc-7, emerge system is prevented at stage2.
!!! all ebuilds taht could satisfy "app-crypt/mit-krb5" have been masked.
(dependency required by "net-misc/openssh-3.6.1_p2" [ebuild])

!!! Problem with ebuild net-misc/openssh-3.6.1_p2
!!! Possible a depend/*depend problem

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.do a stage 1
2.try to emerge system
3.emerge sync, and repeat still causes same

Actual Results:  
Above error

Expected Results:  
emerge system should have continued

I have USE="kerberos"
All mit-krb5 builds are masked for "ppc"

mit-krb5 is in stable now, should fix your problem
