I've attached a ebuild for oinkmaster, a perl script that helps you keep your snort/prelude-nids ruleset up-to-date. Full ebuild tarball has been sent to Method already (too many files to update)...
Created attachment 13868 [details] Ebuild for oinkmaster
Created attachment 17309 [details] ebuild - my version Changes from Michael's version in brief: 1.Depends are runtime only. 2.Michael's probably right about the license - there is a license file included - I felt uncomfortable legally matching it to anything else. 3.A find and replace is required to avoid oinkmaster looking for oinkmaster.conf in /usr/local/etc/ -> changed to /etc 4. Installed the contrib scripts as well (righty or wrongly?)
Created attachment 17314 [details] ebuild - tab formating correction me bad - ebuild has tabs instead of spaces now.
I've looked at Daniel Black's ebuild and it looks good. The question is about the license. It's a BSD license, and matches well with what we already have in portage. The formatting of the license, I recon, does not warrant in a new license file being commited to CVS.
BSD License is fine with me ;-).
Oinkmaster 0.9 was commited to CVS just now. Have a nice day! ;)
