Hello,
 
Portmon is a network server monitoring daemon that keep tracks of online
workstatoin/servers. Features include the following:

- Can monitor arbitrary number of machines with unlimited ports for each host.
- Can send out TCP and ICMP "pings" to each host.
- Fully configurable alarm mechanisms.

Portmon recieved a four-penguin rating from a Chinese Linux Software site. I
suggest net-misc for this ebuild.

Init script

Portmon can be started at boot time. This script starts and stops portmon.
