Description Thomas Berer 2008-08-13 21:46:50 UTC
I get this error when I run virt-install to create a paravirtualized xen guest.

During the virtinst installation it says:

>>> Messages generated by process 26696 on 2008-08-13 21:37:47 CEST for package app-emulation/virtinst-0.300.3-r1:

LOG: postinst
Please select the following os-type/-variant if you want virtio_net and/or virtio_blk support:
| os | variant | virtio_net | virtio_blk |
| linux | gentoostable | yes | no |
| linux | gentoounstable | yes | no |
| linux | ubuntuHardy | yes | no |

I am not sure what the "no" on virtio_blk means. Couldn't I use virtinst to create a paravirtualized guest in a emulated drive made of a file?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
# virt-install --name=test --ram=256 --file=/srv/xen/test.img --file-size=3 --paravirt --debug

Actual Results:

Can you test this with a newer version and report back?

As a note, same issue reported at Ubuntu.
