Description Alex Barker 2008-08-11 18:45:10 UTC
Shared folders do not appear accessible to windows guests with vbox 1.6.4.
Side note there is no icon after install.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install windows xp guest (use nat)
2. install guest tools
3. add shared folder
4. \\Vboxsvr\shared_folder
5. wait for connection error.

Actual Results:
Connection failure

Expected Results:
Share connection

This seems to work on my 1.6.2 oss version on my desktop but the bin on my laptop is the failure.

Hi

Tested with virtualbox-bin-1.6.4, shared folders are working fine here,
sounds like a problem with your guest or your VM setup,
be sure to update your guest additions after every upgrade, not an ebuild issue.

Just checked again, an icon is present and installed
x-drum@Thunder ~ $ qlist virtualbox-bin | grep png
/usr/share/pixmaps/virtualbox.png
