I'm the contact for the gentoo-portage mirror at acm.cs.rpi.edu (128.213.5.35), and our network seems to be inaccessible. I recommend pulling it from rotation as soon as possible until the problem can be identified and solved.
Thanks for the heads up. I've removed rsync18.us.gentoo.org from the main rotation as well as the US and N America rotations. Please post here when things are back to normal and we'll add it back into the rotation.
It's back up and running, now. A kernel oops was involved. This same setup has been stable for a long time, so this is surprising and disappointing. We probably won't be able to juggle hardware to make sure this doesn't happen again for a little while, but we'll do our best to keep it up. As yet another heads up, I've been informed that there is a scheduled network outage on July 4th from 7:30-8:15am which will probably affect this server. I'll post another bug report a couple of days before. Sorry for the trouble. I'm very impressed by your response time.
ok, the server is now back in all the rotations. Thanks for letting us know. :) --kurt
