Hi, Please find attached libhid-0.2.16.ebuild, which allows installing libhid (already found on all debian releases, even sarge, it's a shame we don't have it in gentoo). libhid provides a generic and flexible way to access and interact with USB HID devices, much like libusb does for plain USB devices. It is based on libusb 0.1, thus it requires no special HID support in the kernel. Furthermore, it aims to support all operating system supported by libusb: Linux, BSD, OS X, and Windows (via libusb-win32). I'd suggest dev-libs/libhid (just like we have dev-libs/libusb). This package depends on libusb, and will depend on pisg/python if USE=python, and on doxygen if USE=doc. Mark
