When I run eselect profile list I get: /bin/sed: can't read //profiles/profiles.desc: No such file or directory !!! Error: Failed to get a list of valid profiles Killed It seems that the the command $(portageq portdir) in the line 16 of /usr/share/eselect/modules/profile.eselect doesn't return anything. I've tried adding two lines after that one: echo $(portageq portdir) >&2 echo $(ls) >&2 and the first doesn't print anything, whereas the second prints the contents of the current dir as it should.
