Description Goudal Francois 2008-08-06 06:22:05 UTC
The pymsn-t package, which is a Jabber gateway to MSN network is now unable to connect to the MSN servers, probably due to a change on the servers side.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Install a jabber server
2.Install the pyMSN-t gateway
3.Connect to the jabber server and try to connect to an MSN account using the gateway

Actual Results:
You will get a message explaining that the connection failed

Expected Results:
The MSN connection should have worked, you should be able to use it to chat on MSN.

There's a patch here :
http://py-transports.googlegroups.com/web/pymsnt-version.patch
that fix the bug.
The mainstream is apparently not maintained anymore, according to the project's website, so I think gentoo should not expect a fix from mainstream, but include the patch in the ebuild.

I checked in pymsn-t-0.11.3-r1 that includes this patch. Thanks for the report!
