Ebuild looks good. I'll test it out and see where it takes us.
The ebuild works, but davedap 8.2 seems to be not bug-free. I'll get html output mixed with some php code. I was a bit fast, with submitting the ebuild, cause the demo looked nice. Don't bother with it, until the next version, or so. :-)
Alright thanks for the heads-up. Just post back into this bug when things are fixed so you don't have to wait for the bug-wranglers to get it.
Hi, it turned out that there wasn't a problem with davedap. In fact the bug sat in front of the screen. :-/ There happened something. New Version, DaveDAP was renamed to phpLDAPadmin and there is the webapp-apache.eclass, which is currently (v1.18) broken. -> 26133#c8

Cool thanks. I'm supposed to be part of the webapp herd and need to catch up on a LOT of reading. ;) I'll work this in ASAP.
We are still working out some things with the web-app herd. I'm going to sit on this until details are hashed out.
No problem, but thanks for the information. Will parts of the webapp* eclass structure be rewritten?
Reassigning to web-apps herd since I'm retiring.
Hi, The web-apps herd is currently working on delivering some important changes to the way that web-based applications are installed and managed on Gentoo Linux. Until this work is complete, we're not commiting ebuilds for new packages. I've marked this bug as 'LATER'. As soon as we are able to, we will come back to this bug and help you convert your ebuild to our new approach. Many thanks for your patience, Stu
Hello Stuart, I'm aware of this. I only hope you'll be able to roll out the changes soon. The unconviniences with webapp-apache.eclass (e.g. userpriv problem) and not being able to add/update software to portage just sucks. And no - I'm not _that_ patient, but please take the time you need, instead jumping out of the frying pan into the fire. :) Carlo
closing because of bug 33414
.
Hi, Sorry for the delay in replying. We've been very busy putting a new framework in place for ebuilds for web-based applications. This has now been added to Portage. We need you to update your ebuild to use the new framework before we can accept your ebuild. Please emerge net-www/webapp-config (make sure you get version 1.2 or later), and update your ebuild to work with this new tool. You can use 'man 5 webapp.eclass', 'man 5 webapp-config' and 'man 8 webapp-config' to learn more about how your ebuild needs to work. You can find an example ebuild, for phpmyadmin, in /usr/share/doc/webapp-config-1.2/ If you encounter any difficulties with the new framework (and we apologise, but there are sure to be a few at first), please let us know and we'll do our best to help you. Best regards, Stu
Have a look at Bug 33414, Don Seiler "rediscovered" this piece of software as it was renamed from davedap to phpldapadmin. As annotated in the qsoapman bug report I want to focus a bit, so I'm closing this one again.
