Launching the Gentoo 1.4rc4 install CD, i type gentoo as kernel to load, select my keyboard, and let the installation do its job. Then it detects my CPU, does the hardware detection (up to 100%), and then, nothing, system lockup, no HD access nor CDROM access, Ctrl-Alt-Del does not work, but NumLock works (not usual for a crash). I just have to do reset on my computer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start installation, selecting gentoo 2. Choose 80*25 for display 3. Choose fr keyboard 4. Wait. After the hardware detection, it seems crashed Actual Results: Crash. No access on HD nor CD. No Ctrl-Alt-Del Expected Results: Continue the installation! Can't go up to a console, so can't paste emerge info. Moving these so we can remove the "Install CD" component from "Gentoo Linux". I apologize to everyone for this spam, but according to the bugzilla developers, this is the only reasonable way to do this.
