Short answer : NO, Gentoo is not a support platform

Long answer  : YES, but it will take a while.

There's undergoing work to port all the XD2 patches into UNofficial ebuilds.

Here's a lenghty thread about the project - as I understand they are making good progress, the only thing missing is the print work.

Even with these patches and ebuilds, when they become available, Gentoo will still not be a supported platform.
