gentoo-sources .25 become stable while tuxonice-sources aren't stable. Is there any blocker or issue for this stabilization? Reproducible: Always
I haven't check, but the bug #222113 could be one of blockers, which is a simple version dump.
Yay for not even cc the maintainer
Using sys-kernel/tuxonice-sources-2.6.24-r9 I observed problems when debugging programs in KDevelop as continuously sigtrap signals are thrown when stepping through a program. Searching the internet revealed that (early?) 2.6.24 had issues with the signal handling, which was fixed not later than with 2.6.25. I won't file an official Gentoo bug, as for gentoo-sources 2.6.24 is obsolete and with the stabilization of tuxonice-sources-2.6.25* this problem should be resolved. Thus, I vote for the stabilization of 2.6.25-r7 (or any newer version). Above problem with sigtraps has been observed and described for other Linux distributions, too: https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=41361 http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=47824 http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=475206
I won't be calling for 2.6.25 going stable, instead correct revisions of 2.6.27 and 2.6.28 will be stabilized along with gentoo-sources (or shortly after as tuxonice-sources needs more testing).
