Very important, if you use the new parallel jobs support, there's absolutely no output from elog at the end, so you can end up with a non-working box if there was  a critical message (like some of the ones in grub).

They're only supposed to show if you have PORTAGE_ELOG_SYSTEM="echo" enabled. It it enabled and they're still not showing?

Ok, that's what I get for playing with lots of early portage releases, and not having a full help block on make.conf.
