When nagios 3.0.3  is used (stable in portage) this directory has moved to /usr/lib/nagios/plugins. Therfore it should do a check wether nagios 2 or 3 is used and then place the check_nrpe into the appropriate place.

nagios-3.0.3 is _not_ stable ...

you'd like to install nagios-nrpe-2.12-r101 ....

you'd like to install nagios-nrpe-2.12-r101 ....
