Ksensors needs a patch to work with the new lm_sensors 3, it seems Fedora team has a patch against Ksensors 0.7.3 here: http://cvs.fedoraproject.org/viewcvs/devel/ksensors/ksensors-0.7.3-lm_sensors-3.x.patch Now lm_sensors 3 is masked, I don't know if the patch could be added to portage as a new masked -r2 ebuild of ksensors.
Also, Fedora uses a newer Debian patchset (-15) than the one Gentoo uses (-13). Compare notes: http://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/rpminfo?rpmID=419326
hmm ksensors works for me without lm_sensors 3x patch. I have installed lm_sensors 3.0.2 from portage, and added debian patchset -16 to ksensors.
I can confirm the patch attached in comment #1 is not required. However, ksensors-0.7.3-r1 does require a bump to Debian patchset 16 in order to compile against lm_sensors-3.
Maintainer of this ebuild, bump it with that debian patchset. Im using it with -16 debian patchest and without patch from comment 1. It works without problems since 3 months, on lm_sensors 2 and 3, on amd64. Link to patch http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/pool/main/k/ksensors/ Go Go. Community needs you! Gentoo needs you!
Hi KDE herd. Added ksensors-0.7.3-r2 with bump to Debian patchset 16. Tree needs lm_sensors-3 lovin', hope you don't mind.
