Description hexa 2008-07-23 11:06:22 UTC
If i try to upgrade e2fsprogs, compiling fails. It seems to me like i have some of ther packages on the system too old. Probably the ebuild should contain some dependencies, which it currently doesn't.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge e2fsprogs
2.
3.

Actual Results:
emerge fails

Expected Results:
emerged new e2fsprogs

What you probably should do is run:
# emerge --sync
# emerge app-portage/gentoolkit
# emerge -vuaDN world
# gcc-config (pick a newer gcc)
# revdep-rebuild

You will probably need a newer kernel as well.
