Description Johannes Jeske 2008-07-23 08:30:28 UTC
Hi!
Since I'm not a developer or coder or something, I can't write ebuilds :-(
So is it possible that someone can make an Ebuild for the FPS XreaL?

Thanks in advanve

Johannes Jeske

please review the documentation for how to submit a bug. devrel is not for ebuild requests.

xreal-9999.ebuild

Here's an ebuild that will get you halfway there. It will download the SVN source and compile the binaries and installs base data under /usr/share/games/xreal. The source code doesn't appear to compile maps on its own, so you'll need to use xmap2 (included in the build) to compile the .map files into .bsp files. I didn't take the time to figure out the extra options, such as getting lighting and such working, so the maps will be pretty dark. The ebuild should be able to build the included radiant editor, but probably won't install it after it is built (i.e. I didn't test this function). Hopefully someone who really knows what they are doing can polish this up!

Start with this command:
xreal +set fs_basepath /usr/share/games/xreal
