Description Ryan Hope 2008-07-22 16:15:26 UTC
For some reason XInput.h does not get installed by inputproto-9999. Even though the header is visible via gitweb "http://gitweb.freedesktop.org/?p=users/whot/inputproto;a=tree" it doesn't even appear to get fetched.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge =inputproto-9999

Actual Results:
>>> Merging x11-proto/inputproto-9999 to /
--- /usr/
--- /usr/share/
--- /usr/share/doc/
--- /usr/share/doc/inputproto-9999/
>>> /usr/share/doc/inputproto-9999/ChangeLog.bz2
--- /usr/lib/
--- /usr/lib/pkgconfig/
>>> /usr/lib/pkgconfig/inputproto.pc
--- /usr/include/
--- /usr/include/X11/
--- /usr/include/X11/extensions/
>>> /usr/include/X11/extensions/XI.h
>>> /usr/include/X11/extensions/XIproto.h

Expected Results:
>>> Merging x11-proto/inputproto-9999 to /
--- /usr/
--- /usr/share/
--- /usr/share/doc/
--- /usr/share/doc/inputproto-9999/

Please post your `emerge --info' too and tell us from which overlay you got this ebuild.

Comment 3 Donnie Berkholz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-23 22:14:53 UTC
http://cgit.freedesktop.org/xorg/proto/inputproto/tree/ does not show it. It moved to libXi as I recall.
Comment 4 Rémi Cardona (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-10-29 13:45:37 UTC
Indeed, libXi now ships XInput.h. You should be fine if you also use x11-libs/libXi-9999 from the x11 overlay.

Thanks
