At the point where you can choose the Kernel Options, choose what ever you want or hit just enter. 3. Wait a moment and then the errormessage pops up. I'm pretty sure the VIA C3 is one of the 586-like processors (missing just one instruction to be i686). Use the minimal instead.
Are you sure? The Via Nehemia C3-2 should be a 686-class processor. It´s from CPU family 6
Can you test the minimal CD?
Booting from the x86 minimal CD is working fine.
installcd-2.6.24.config:CONFIG_M486=y livecd-2.6.24.config:CONFIG_M686=y That seems to lend credibility to my original statement.
