I recently used revdep-rebuild and it's telling me some of my packages are broken, but it cannot find the right things needed to fix these inconsistencies. The files are orphaned files. Do the following to verify: 1. equery belongs /usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/kio_smb.la 2. equery belongs /usr/lib/transcode/filter_preview.la If the above commands return nothing then 1. rm /usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/kio_smb.la 2. rm /usr/lib/transcode/filter_preview.la
Ok, that seems to have done the trick. Thanks.
