I am not sure if this is a bug or not, but anyway. On my system after an uptime of 4 days there as about 40 console-kit-daemon processes. This somehow doesnot feel right. Is this normal behavure? Killing them doesn't seem to affect system operation. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: I can't exactly reproduce this. It just happens over time. Yes it's normal behavior. I don't remember a link off to the top of my head. But some basic Googling will give you info. Basically you need 1 process per terminal/console/etc.
well I don't have 40 terminals open.
You have 40 X application windows, terminals, etc opened.
