ImportError: No module named gobject


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.emerge nicotine+
2.
3.

Actual Results:  
ImportError: No module named gobject

Expected Results:  
should compile fine

You didn't run python-updater after updating to Python 2.5as you were instructed by the postinstall information, right!?

the error occurs when running python-updater :)

Try `emerge --resume --skipfirst' and run python-updater again when that finishes.

Looks like python-updater doesn't get the build order right, then. The ebuilds state the dependency chain correctly.

is there any solution to that? i have the same exact problem and python-update doesn't resolve it

yep same with me!!! no 'gobject'

have tried all the suggestions (below) but with no good outcome
