I have been using this for a number of days without any incident on my stable amd64 box.  If there is a basic conflict with another package let me know so I can test another version.  The older (2004) version that is currently stable is four years out of date and is missing some new and interesting features.

Agreed, can we please get this stabled so I can remove some of the older versions, amd64 shouldn't have such an old version.
