Description Pascal Groß 2008-07-19 08:26:18 UTC
I have updated from openssl-0.9.7m to openssl-0.9.8g-r2. Everytime I want to use OpenSSL now, it segfaults. I couldn't run revdep-rebuild completely because some ebuilds need openssl to be build. So I still have some old libraries and some old links.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.run openssl with or without parameters
Actual Results:
srv1 ~ # openssl
Segmentation fault

Expected Results:
srv1 ~ # openssl
NO Segmentation fault

Sorry, I've forgot:

(gdb) exec-file openssl
(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/openssl
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/libthread_db.so.1".

If I could give you any other helpful information, just ask - its extremely urgent.

Thanks, Pascal

Get rid of the old libreries and symlinks and run revdep-rebuild. Nothing to get around this.
