Description Rodrigo Severo 2008-07-18 20:38:38 UTC
I did a 'emerge -uDatvN world' today and both Sun JDK and Sun JRE were updated.

After that java-config stopped working. It only presented the following error:

# java-config
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/java-config-2", line 8, in <module>
    from java_config_2 import __version__
ImportError: No module named java_config_2

Reemerging the java-config package solved the issue.

Here is my emerge --info:

# emerge --info

Did you miss to run python-updater after updating Python by chance?
Comment 2 Rodrigo Severo 2008-07-18 22:34:47 UTC
Yes. Is this the fix?

If it is, please close this bug as invalid.
Comment 3 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-18 23:54:05 UTC
Running python-updater after a major Python update is mandatory. The fix is to actually read post install information. ;)
