Hi,
under http://ftp.spline.inf.fu-berlin.de and ftp://ftp.spline.inf.fu-berlin.de you can find a new full mirror. It is on the same maschine like rsync.spline.inf.fu-berlin.de aka rsync11.de.gentoo.org. It is a Server with 2x100MBit Uplink located in Berlin, Germany.

We now provide ftp and http access to distfiles and all the other.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for wanting to help out with a distfiles mirror as well. I've added the mirror to our testing system and will keep you posted on it's progress.

What would you like the mirror listed as? 

Also, how many concurrent users do you plan to support?

Looks good so far :

ftp.spline.inf.fu-berlin.de/mirrors/gentoo/ is in sync, current delta : 2.02 hours

If it is possible, it could be a public mirror server.

At the moment there is no hard limit in the config of the ftp/http server. The Server is currently only limited by its 2x100MBit Uplink.

Sure, I meant by what name? What would you like the mirror to be called?

Not sure, if the name is ok, but I would call the mirror:
"SPLINE, Institut für Informatik, Freie Universität Berlin"

I hope it is ok. :)

masterdistfiles.gentoo.org as the email I have sent to you instructs. We would

updates, releases, and changes in policy to the mirrors.  
Please also monitor http://mirrorstats.gentoo.org as this application is used
