When trying to emerge win4lin the file is pulled with wget the session rolls to another mirror and attempts to get the rest of the file, over and over until stopped. The last two files on the portage mirrors are: Win4Lin-5.3.22a-d.i386.rpm 4469773 Jun 7 12:30 Win4Lin-5.5.1d-d.i386.rpm 4841432 May 25 10:30 They are both 256 bytes short (and corrupt) which causes the problem with emerge. The file in the master repository is fine. Can you delete the file and refetch it after setting GENTOO_MIRRORS to http://gentoo.inode.at please?
I have been experiencing the same problems as those mentioned in this bug, I have tried the fix as described in the most recent comment and still experience the same problem.

The gentoo.inode.at server thinks .rpm files are real-audio files, this is probably the reason for truncation. thats got the 5.0.1 ebuild working, could the rpm for the 4.0.22 ebuild be fixed as well? it has the same problems
