make[1]: *** [lrmi.o] Error 1

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. install klibc 1.5.12
2. try to emerge v86d
3. fail

Actual Results:
v86d failed to compile at lrmi.c

Expected Results:
v86d builds successfully

CFLAGS="-O0" are forced for v86d.
Comment 1 zombie83p 2008-07-15 04:20:14 UTC
Well, correction: I tried with -O0 forced but it did not change the results.
Comment 2 Jeroen Roovers (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-15 04:42:57 UTC
Are you sure you didn't also upgrade sys-devel/gcc to 4.3.1 before you started seeing this failure?

lrmi.c:399: error: 'IF_MASK' undeclared (first use in this function)
Comment 3 Marcin Kowalski 2008-07-15 05:13:46 UTC
same here. i also started having this failure right after klibc-1.5.12-r1 (had 1.5.11 before). i've been using gcc 4.3.1 for a while now.

v86d used to build, but it would still segfault (as described in other bugs).

downgrading to 1.5.11 makes v86d build again. (but it probably still segfaults).
Comment 4 zombie83p 2008-07-15 15:39:54 UTC
I have compiled v86d using GCC 4.3.1 earlier with the 1.5.11 version of klibc. It segfaulted on start if compiled without -O0 but otherwise functioned.
Comment 5 Michal Januszewski (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-15 21:20:21 UTC
The problem should be fixed in v86d-0.1.5.1.
