When I try to change/install a printer via the Web-interface, each step takes very long time. Then, when you can select the brand of the printer and you click on the "continue" link, the loading of the next page just takes forever and never ever loads (after some minutes, Firefox gives a timeout). The specific printer is connected via LPT.
CUPS isn't crashed because of this. If I just load another page of the webinterface, it works fine. But even when I click reload at the step when it never loads the page and Firefox resends the POST-data, it does not work.

It's a HP printer and I am selecting "HP" at the brand-selection page.
Same problem with cups-1.2.12-r8.
Same problem here with the same cups versions of Albert. This issue has been also reported upstream, see here: http://www.cups.org/str.php?L2886+P0+S-2+C0+I0+E0+M10+Qhang Maybe some recent upgrade could have broken something, but... what? *_*
Maybe i've found a (partial solution): - stop cupsd - clean /var/cache/cups/* ( # rm -frv /var/cache/cups/* ) - restart cupsd Try this, and give us some feedback!
Thanks a lot, that solved the problem for me.
