Unfortunately, I could not reach genstef the previous days, so I am writing a bugreport, because I am afraid that it is really urgent to upgrade dev.gentooexperimental.org to eix-0.13.2 (not in the tree yet, but the ebuild can just be renamed) to avoid a lot of traffic: The problem is that http://dev.gentooexperimental.org/eix_cache/eix-caches.tbz2 is a *huge* archive, because the whole portage tree is contained in every single file of this archive. My guess is that the generation of this archive failed because of bug 230341 which has been fixed in 0.13.2. Of course, I cannot guarantee that the upgrade will solve the problem, but it seems likely to me, and it is the reason why I released eix-0.13.2 so early.
I've notified d.ge.o admin about it, and it should be updated now (thanks bonsaikitten) Please don't open bugs against gentoo-infra again, the machine ain't part of it..
