Howdy,

when booting 2008.0-r1 on a system with a Realtek R8169 network card, the automatic loading of the r8169 module lets the kernel oops.
Starting in interactive mode and loading the module r8169 via modprobe leads to a segmentation fault, too.

Seems to be fixed in newer kernels. Patch: http://lkml.org/lkml/2008/4/17/298
