There are a few fixes with regard to the jabber module after the rewrite in 1.2.  From bitlbee.org:

Version 1.2.1 (released 2008-06-24) hilights:

    * Mostly a lot of fixes for bugs found after the 1.2 release.
    * Daemon mode is now officially declared stable.
