Description Robert Führicht 2003-06-19 07:14:16 UTC
Experienced in gaming-sources-r5 and gaming-sources-r4

When I click on the "Character Devices" entry in the make xconfig Dialog (make
menuconfig works) it tells me something about "extra characters after close quote"
Details are:

extra characters after close-quote
extra characters after close-quote
    while compiling
"comment $w.config.f 51 72 "in the xfree-drm ebuild. Type \\"emerge xfree-drm\\"
after you"
	comment $w.config.f 51 73 "complete the \\"make modules_in..."
    (compiling body of proc "menu51", line 117)
    invoked from within
"menu51 .menu51 "Character devices""

Always reproducable, just start make xconfig and click "Character Devices" (same
with and without existing .config!)

Broken for me, too.

Also occurs in pfeifer-sources-2.4.21.1_pre4:

extra characters after close-quote
extra characters after close-quote
    while compiling
"comment $w.config.f 51 72 "in the xfree-drm ebuild. Type \\"emerge xfree-drm\\" after you"
	comment $w.config.f 51 73 "complete the \\"make modules_in..."
    (compiling body of proc "menu51", line 117)
    invoked from within
"menu51 .menu51 "Character devices""
    invoked from within
".f0.x51 invoke"
    ("uplevel" body line 1)
    invoked from within
"uplevel #0 [list $w invoke]"
    (procedure "tk::ButtonUp" line 22)
    invoked from within
"tk::ButtonUp .f0.x51"
    (command bound to event)

Ignore the part about pfeifer-sources. The rest still applies.

I am a n00b.

Thank you.

gaming-sources is no longer in portage
