rm'd /etc/xml/catalog (under advice that it was probably a generated file)

This filex the problem and the icon theme installed.

Now the question is, why was an empty catalog file such a problem? What program created the problematic empty file?
Comment 2 David Voge 2008-07-05 20:52:53 UTC
it emerged fine on amd64 without this bug.

i thing it's fixed.
Comment 3 Peter Alfredsen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2008-07-05 20:55:09 UTC
Let's mark this as fixed for now.
Comment 4 renato gallo 2008-07-11 05:55:12 UTC
still there on x86 removing the catalog fixes the problem
(it might be a good thing at least to insert that rm into the ebuild)....

Please reopen. I can confirm that the problem still exists here on x86 with x11-themes/gnome-icon-theme-2.22.0

rm /etc/xml/catalog did the trick.
