Description A. Sopicki 2008-07-05 07:09:26 UTC
The package points to one of the mirrors e.g. http://www.fr.kernel.org/pub/linux/docs/manpages/man-pages-2.80.tar.gz but the man-pages have been moved to the Archive subdirectory. The URL should be http://www.fr.kernel.org/pub/linux/docs/manpages/Archive/man-pages-2.80.tar.gz instead.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge sys-apps/man-pages-2.80
2. Download fails because of incorrect URL

Actual Results:
Emerge of the the package is not possible because of the error explained above.

Expected Results:
The package should use the correct URL for the download and emerge without any problem.

Workaorund: Use correct URL to download the package to the distfiles directory. After that the package installs just fine.

Maybe the ebuild should check the Archive if the initial download fails with a 404 error.
