dev-util/cmake-2.6 has been masked for a long time, though there was no good reason to do so in the first place. I have been using it and have not had any problems. Reproducible: Always
Assigning to cryos because he masked it. (see below) /usr/portage/profiles/package.mask: # Marcus D. Hanwell <cryos@gentoo.org> (08 May 2008) # Masking new version until it has received a little more testing
It was masked initially because we wanted to see it tested against more apps before unmasking, instead of possibly breaking ~arch. There's also bug 224901 which no one had time to look at yet.
Isn't ~arch supposed to break sometimes? That's whole point of the ~ prefix, no? Just a notice, next week, KDE trunk is going to require this version of CMake. It would be nice if I could get this CMake version from Portage.
Sorry about the delay. Now that Brad got the patch in for cmake 2.6.1 I see no reason to keep this package masked. Unmasked. I have been using this for testing and not encountered any issues.
